“SUFFERING PASSES, WHILE LOVE IS ETERNAL.
THAT’S A GIFT THAT YOU RECEIVE FROM GOD.
DON’T WASTE IT.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Death seems to show up in my writings more and more frequently. Time is just like that. Many people have small parts in our lives and when they are gone it seems that we are diminished in a small way. But thankful that you knew and were blessed by knowing someone.
On my Facebook page today there was a note from a lady who grew up in Barber County. In fact Barber County is darn proud of her.
But we are all proud of her parents that we see on a regular basis. In fact I just saw them in the parking lot of Dillon’s in Pratt a couple of weeks ago.
A few days ago Daryl put on the page that she was going to have an operation and asked for prayers. We all did. This morning our prayers follow her to the company of her savior.
We are so sad and at the same time we are so glad because we knew what a good mother she was. The few times I was in her home she was so gracious and genuinely concerned about how things were going in my world. I will always hold those visits close.
Jeanne taught her children to be independent, hard working, and confident. She also taught them love. As the family will probably tell you that this last holidays were spent with a lot of love.
Jeanne was proud of her children and loved her grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of love. You will hear it in her daughters songs and her sons music.
Through the tears the memories will be left behind and held by all of her kids, grand kids, family and friends.
This is what is called a Legacy of Love.
